Indian Idol will never have a person from the UK to win. I was at the second audition today and the people who made it through are from India and they are all on work-permits or student visas.

There were some fantastic trained vocalists at the audition today who had brains and beauty, but unfortunately the inevitable corruptness of India was shining!!

When greed is sheltered and labels applied be they delicate or inhibited, all genuine discourse of humanity is lost and Sony TV did a great job of it.

Well Done Shalin Patel!

Some people took days off work, failed to complete university projects and paid high sums of money for baby sitters, petrol and accomodation.

All along, Shalin Patel knew exactly which people he wanted to go through, but was willing to place people in predicaments.

It is nasty, evil and inhumane.

So dont even bother to watch the programme, vote and support the judges and contestants, because truthfully the winners have already been allocated!!

Shame on you Sony TV. This is why Indians do not excel in Western countries because examples of you are poor.

Hey Sonali! you are very right about the auditions went in london.I wasnt even selected in the First round auditions held in central london. I was so disappointed. I give the team of Indian Idol an open Challenge. People who were chosen in the final auditions in London,i can compete them. The judge in the first round had no idea about music i guess. My presentation in the waiting area while at auditions was recorded and hopefully will go on air next month. I was the one singing (Khamaj - Sawan beeto jaye beharwa) and was loudly appreciated by the contestants waiting to go for auditions. Right word i should call the judge to is “RACIST”.

What are you guys talking about? I’m one of the finalists to go to India and i’m proud to say that i’m British Asian, born and bred in London and yes with a british passport! In fact the other two finalists are also British Asian. So where exactly is the racism??

Sony TV has done justice because the whole point of having auditions in the UK was to promote British Asian talent and that’s exactly what has happened. Those who didnt get through please dont give up and keep following your dreams. We have all faced rejection, but thats no reason to give up. Just have faith in yourself and your abilities.

Please do watch the show and show us your support. After all, we are repersenting the UK and what it has to offer!

For those of you who were lucky enough to waste a whole 2 days at the auditions then I strongly advise you to read the rules, regulations, terms, conditions etc…

Definitions

PRODUCER- MidTech Private LTD, MSM Asia.

(3)3.2- The PRODUCER (not the Judges) will notify the contestants who have been chosen to go through to the Theatre Audition Round of the competition,after the first stage UK audition. The PRODUCER shall not be obliged to notify unsuccessful contestants.

(3)3.4- The PRODUCER at it’s sole and absolute discretion require contestants to adhere and abide by all instructions.

(3)3.5- ”People” (I repeat.. PEOPLE) will be invited back to London for the UK final audition, for the CHOSEN contestants to gain entry into the Theater Round Audition in Mumbai.

(8)8.3- The PRODUCERS decision is final and contestants must ackowledge that the interests of the programme will override those of the Judges.

(8)8.18- the manner in which the competition is judged, as every stage, shall be at the Producers SOLE DISCRETION.

8(8.25) All contestants are required to converse in Hindi

Read it all for yourself people… Its a money making corrupt scam… In future I strongly advise you to clearly read the rules and regulations of anything concerning SONY TV inthe future!

Anu Malik and Javed Akhtar already knew who was going through, and all the other contestants were used for ‘good television’…

Way to go India! Make us Brit-Indians proud of you!!!

So what is your point exactly? The ones that have got through in the UK and also India…are they through because they can sing and have potential or because they will just make great television?

Point is.. I strongly respect those who have got through, because it takes pure talent to get through on these shows and its not easy to express talent to the world especially through television.

Lots of respect for the artistes.

My point is that, it is really unfair to all the artistes who desperately try so hard to deliver 100% everytime they are on this show; when in reality it really isn’t upto judges, judges just talk, they have a mic in there ear and the producers tell them what to say…

Producers make good telly, its part of their job…

Its just a shame that Sony TV has let itself down when events like this hardly take place in the UK…

Yea i know where your comming from…ive auditioned for pop idol, x factor, sa re ga ma…and all of them have rejected me in the past…it does all boil down to one thing…good television and what people want to see on television…but then thats reality tv for you no matter where you go… that doesnt mean you stop trying. One door closes but then a window opens.

Does Sony/Indian Idol pay for the contestants’ travel fare and accomodation?

I know they paid the contestents during theater round to stay at the Marriott in Mumbai.

But as far as traveling from UK to India for example or even within India is it a paid trip?
